Fifth Wheel celebrate 10 year anniversary
North Wales caravan and tourer manufacturer Fifth Wheel Company celebrated its 10 year anniversary by hosting a Summer Experience Day for more than 100 customers, suppliers and friends.
The Rhuallt-based company, which is the UK’s only designer and manufacturer of European-compliant fifth wheel tourers, organised a series of activities throughout the day which ended in a party to celebrate ten years’ in business.
The occasion was marked with a specially designed birthday cake in the shape of the company’s iconic Celtic Rambler tourer created by Melys Cake Design, Llandudno.
Adrian Parry-Jones, Sales Director at Fifth Wheel, said: “We hold an Experience Day every year for our customers, but this year we wanted it to be bigger and better than ever before as it is our ten year anniversary.
“We were delighted that over 100 people came to join in with our celebrations and it was great to welcome both customers old and new to thank them for their support over the past decade.”
Fifth Wheel Company was set up in 2002 by husband and wife team Mervyn and Jenny Parry-Jones and their son, Adrian. Their daughter Ceri soon joined the business along with her husband Gethin Whiteley, now head designer.
The company now designs and manufacturers fifth wheel tourers the DreamSeeker and Celtic Rambler, as well as Europe’s first production line caravan with a slide-out compartment, the Inos.
Eddie and Pauline Bentley from Portsmouth, who bought a Celtic Rambler six years ago and now own a DreamSeeker, said: “Ten years in business is a great milestone. They are a great family business and their services and products are excellent.”
Stuart and Christine Lewis from St Albans, who picked up the keys to their new DreamSeeker on the day, said: “We love Fifth Wheel – they provide very good customer service and always provide service with a smile.”
Over the past 10 years the business has gone from strength to strength and they now employ over 20 people and have won numerous accolades including being named in Wales’ Fast Growth 50, being in the Hot 100 Business Start Ups and winning the Caravan Club Caravan Design Awards seven years running.
