Fifth Wheel helps to make walk a Dream
A North Wales family business has stepped in to help make this year’s Cerddwn Ymlaen walk a success. Behind every successful team, there is a dedicated and hardworking back-up crew and the Cerddwn Ymlaen team is no different.
Preparations have been put into place over the past 12 months to keep the walkers going during their 200 miles trek across Wales and everything has been planned down to the last detail.
Thanks to the Fifth Wheel Company in Rhuallt, the back-up team will have a taste of luxury on the walk.
The company, who manufacture innovative fifth wheel tourers and the Inos caravan, has donated a top-of-the-range tourer for the walk.
The DreamSeeker fifth wheel tourer, which is made at their Rhuallt headquarters and sold to customers across Europe, is an impressive 25 foot long and will serve as the hub of the walk.
The fully fitted, luxury tourer has all the gadgets and gizmos installed to make it the perfect back-up vehicle.
Wales Air Ambulance charity staff will be preparing and serving snacks and light meals for the walkers from the DreamSeeker and the media team will also be based there throughout the walk.
Cerddwn Ymlaen organiser, Eryl Vaughan, said: “We are extremely grateful to the Fifth Wheel Company for their very generous support of Cerddwn Ymlaen 2013. The DreamSeeker will be a vital part of the back-up squad and will be used fully for the whole eight days we are on the road in Wales.
“Our back-up team have even been given training on how to hook up the tourer to the towing vehicle and how to drive safely with a 25 foot long tourer in tow. We couldn’t have asked for more support and generosity and we’re very excited to have the DreamSeeker on the walk with us.”
Adrian Parry-Jones, Managing Director at Fifth Wheel said:“We are always actively looking to work with local charities. The walk is such an important event in Wales and we are delighted to be a part of it.
“As the walk is 200 miles long, the DreamSeeker will be very beneficial as it is where food will be prepared for the walkers. We are privileged that it will be an essential part of the walk and we wish everyone who is taking part the best of luck.”
Fifth Wheel was established 11 years ago by the Parry-Jones family and they design and manufacturer three flagship models – fifth wheel tourers Celtic Rambler and DreamSeeker and the Inos caravan.
